My name is Kaleb Pound, and I’ve lived in La Plata my entire life. Since 2016, I’ve been working part-time with a small company out of Albuquerque, NM, providing used cooking oil pickups—a service I plan to continue.

From the very beginning, I’ve been asked if I would consider handling grease trap cleaning, but I always declined—until recently. A local restaurant reached out in a panic because their grease trap was overflowing. After calling around to all the usual grease trap service providers without success, they turned to me. Although it wasn’t part of my usual work, I responded with my oil truck and helped them clean out their trap.

This experience opened my eyes to a real need in our community. After speaking with more restaurants and plumbers, I realized that La Plata and the Four Corners area could benefit from a dedicated grease trap service that responds quickly and reliably.

My goal is to fill this gap and become the go-to company for grease trap pumping and used cooking oil pickups in the Four Corners region.I then started talking to other restaurants and a few plumbers and it seams like the community could use a dedicated grease trap pumper to be able to respond to the needs of the community in a timely manner.
